Test Anxiety!
BEFORE BOOKING:
Do you have confidence in your ability to pass the test? Have you practised loads of repetitions so you know exactly how to do your manouvers? Did you drive in a large variety of situations and are confident with driving anywhere? Know your road rules and road signs.
THE NIGHT BEFORE:

Be organised. Get your log book and license ready.
Have you checked that your brake lights, reverse lights, indicators, hazard lights, headlights, wipers and demisters are all working? No cracks in the windscreen? You receive a checklist when booking your P test for vehicle expectations. Clean your car especially on the inside. Windows inclusive.
Try to get a good nights sleep.

TEST DAY:

Check your lights again, bad luck occurs and globes decide to blow whenever they like! Allow time to fix this as usually it takes a bit longer than 5 minutes to replace a globe. Have a mechanic in mind just in case.

Eat a good brekky to help your concentration, brain food is great such as eggs, blueberries, avocado on toast or some walnuts. Avoid Caffiene and energy drinks. You will be hyped without extra stimulants.

If your adrenalin is peaking go for a very fast walk around the block. We have to put that nervous energy somewhere!
THE TEST:
Remember when you booked the test? You are confident in your ability to Pass!
Stay aware of the ever changing roadworks and traffic conditions. Obey the signs.
If you are unsure of the instructions ask the examiner to explain in a different way.
Dont overcompensate by driving too slow and dilly dallying around.
Don't ever speed because you want it over with.
Don't worry about what the examiner is doing, focus on what you are doing. Writing needs to be done throughout the test by the examiner.
If you made a mistake, forget about it and stay focussed on whats next.

Finally I have seen some great success with Bach Rescue Remedy. This can be purchased from health food stores, online and in some pharmacies. It may be worth a go if you suffer from test anxiety.
I hope this helps some of you and the magic words are CONFIDENCE IN YOUR ABILITY
All the best and I hope to see you on your Ps soon
